Silver Lake Sand Dunes | Sunset Maternity Session

After dreaming for several days about where and how we should take Kaity’s maternity photos, we decided that Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan would be the perfect place. We had heard that the vast dunes make you feel like you’re in the Sahara desert. Let’s just say… it didn’t disappoint. This is one of our new favorite places to take pictures in the Midwest.

We wanted to document her journey and remember the beauty of her pregnancy. In hindsight, this is all so much sweeter, now that we’ve met our little Samuel. During our time at the dunes, the wind swept us both away into an epic “grand finale” to a 9 month journey. Kaity complimented the natural elements with her graceful nature.
