John and Lucie’s story started in a place neither of them expected: the mail room of Lucie’s apartment building.

Chicago offers so many incredible locations for engagement photos, but the Art Institute of Chicago always feels especially timeless. Exploring the museum with John and Lucie made the afternoon feel relaxed, fun, and full of moments that felt uniquely them.

The two met by chance in the mail room of Lucie’s apartment building, exchanged contact information, and went on their first date the very next week. Since then, they haven’t missed a single day of communication.

Spending time with them at the Art Institute felt a lot like watching two best friends explore together. They share tons of inside jokes and playful teasing, which made wandering through the galleries feel effortless and natural.
